SAFETY

BUILT FOR

A Heritage of Advancing Safety When you climb into your Nissan Patrol, you can be rest assured that everything from the body to the headlights has been designed with your safety in mind.

The legend of the Nissan Patrol has been inspired by the ruggedness of its immensely strong, separate ladder chassis, all-steel body with extended and reinforced crumple zones and steel anti-intrusion bars. The entire framework of your Nissan Patrol is designed to reduce the effect of primary and secondary impact.

NISSAN SAFETY SHIELD

EVERY ADVENTURE A SAFER ONE

At Nissan we emphasise high levels of safety for your increased driving peace of mind – as well as that of your passengers. Our Triple Safety approach begins with Information Safety, to forewarn the driver. Control Safety provides systems to assist driving behaviour in avoiding accidents. And Impact Safety components help to reduce injury in accidents.

DUAL FRONT AIRBAGS

Dual front airbags inflate in milliseconds to provide an extra margin of protection for the driver and front passenger. In conjunction with the 3-point seat belts with pre-tensioners, they help reduce the risk of injury from certain types of frontal and side impacts. In the GRX model, driver and passenger side airbags provide additional peace of mind.

ON-ROAD AND OFF

When the going gets tough, get going in a Nissan Patrol. Climb a 39 degree gradient. Wade through 700mm of water. Taking the rough with the smooth, the Nissan Patrol’s all steel body on a strong ladder frame chassis, highly articulated suspension and flexible four-wheel drive system make it relentless. On-road and off.

OPTIMUM CONTROL

Precision power steering and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with ventilated disc brakes on all 4 wheels allow you to maintain optimum control of the vehicle in difficult circumstances. ABS prevents the wheels from locking during sudden braking or on slippery surfaces.

Nissan Patrol’s commanding road height, multi-reflector halogen head lights and excellent instrument visibility help you to anticipate potentially hazardous situations to make timely and accurate decisions to avert them.

2WD TO 4WD

Turn off he beaten track and shift directly from 2WD to 4WD on the move. The free-running hubs engage automatically when 4WD is selected for extra traction.
